Winter solstice 11/7(wed)

The winter solstice , also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day

with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year.

In Japan, in order not to catch cold in the winter,

there is a custom to soak oneself in the Yuzu hot bath ( 柚子湯 = Yuzuyu).

We recommend to eat “Rice porridge,Simmered pumpkin ” at this day because of warming ourselves.
